One of my favourite poems by Kathleen Mortensen…
A terrific piece of writing,
with such wonderful imagery.

So beautiful and visual. 😊 I’m in love with every single word. 🌟
Kathleen is a very talented poet, very versatile. Thank you for reading. 🙂
I never thanked you for doing this. It was a crazy last few weeks, but things have settled down now. I really do appreciate your generosity in sharing my work. KM<3
The pleasure was all mine. I love that poem.
It was very spontaneous.
Most good things are. Bradbury said that thinking was the enemy of creativity, and he was right.
This is one of my favourites (and I don’t like much of what I write). It wasn’t spontaneous, but it was in response to a photo, so I suppose the idea was.
Loved the poem. Very you. I left a comment on your site.
Isn’t it funny that you should mention Bradbury; I was thinking about Fahrenheit 451 as I was reading your story.
That’s where the Into the Fire part comes in. There is a real life book burning in the next part of the story.
Ooh, can’t wait! I must go back and watch the film too; it really is a good one and I recall that it’s very vibrant in colour.
I’ve never seen the film, but I will put that on my to do list. The story is chilling. Something else Bradbury said was that you don’t have to burn books, you just have to get people to stop reading them. And that is happening.
