The Fort of the Foreigners

The walls were so stout and sturdy, and the ramparts so heavily guarded, that it was said that no sober-minded man would ever attempt to breach the fort’s defences. It was only when an absolute fool wandered in quite by accident that the villagers realised they were in terrible trouble.

  5. Excellent and very universal. Yes, I’d often thought our White House would only be lived in by a president with decorum and at least half a brain. It appears when many weren’t looking, the most idiotic and corrupt one wondered in!
