If you’d like to give a beautiful gift, consider becoming a registered organ donor, if you haven’t already.
I saw the most amazing story on the BBC a few days ago, by Will Leitch (for the rest of those involved in the piece, I apologise for not knowing your names, but I thank you.)
Erin Bonar, of Ballycarry, Co. Antrim, Ireland, let it be known to her family that if she were to die, she wanted her organs to be donated to those in need.
Last March, she did pass away, and her family honoured her wishes. As a result, the lives of three young boys and a grown man were saved.
The remarkable thing is, Erin Bonar was five years of age.
She was watching television with her parents when she saw an ad about organ donation; she asked them what it was all about; they explained it to her, and she made her mind up then and there that she wanted to be an organ donor.
That’s a big heart for such a tiny person.
If you’d like to read the full story, and see an incredible interview with Erin’s mother, Susan, you can find both at;
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/northern_ireland, under the heading “Poignant memory”, 11 December 2015.
I couldn’t find the story, Og. This is a wonderful reminder; no greater gift than life.

You should be able to google it; just enter “northern ireland bbc news”; if you can’t find the story, go to their archives page. And I can’t find your story, your new book! Seems to be a broken link or something. FTM’s comes up fine, but I can’t download yours.

I’ll try googling it.
You can’t find my book, because it’s not out, yet, silly! I’ll post the link when it’s ready😊

Thanks for the inspiration. I have an organ donor tattoo. I keep meaning to write a blog on how important it is to recycle body parts.

Well, now’s your chance. On another note; did you ever get that Banksy tattoo you were thinking of?

Not yet, I need to work up the balls to go for it. It’s bloody painful!

That’s a lot of ink. I get a bit of a rush from having a tattoo done, though.

I want it on my back, above the one I have at the top of my spine. So I have what looks like butterflies on my neck but goes much darker and sinister the further down it goes.

That sounds deadly. It’s a great work of art.

It is, I kind of feel bad for the image theft but it just means a lot to me.

It’s not image theft. It’s not like you’re doing it for money.

Well I might make my daughter’s friends pay to look at it.

Hahaha! As long as you’re not walking around in public without your shirt, you’ll be fine.
